I was a partner at Lavender Hill Group Practice SW11, for 25 years gaining experience of clinical primary care as well as the business side of the partnership.

I have a wide experience of secondary care, working recently as a clinical assistant at St Georges Hospital in the rheumatology and bariatric departments and previously as a medical registrar at Whipps Cross.

I have experience of service development. I was PEC member for childrens’ services and sexual health at Wandsworth PCT and clinical commissioning lead for the Battersea commissioning group between 2009 and 2012 during which time we commissioned a new primary care based sexual health service, a minor surgery service and achieved funding for a GP to be placed in a special school

I was Director of the Battersea Research Group from 1997 to 2009 during which time I published 15 peer reviewed publications. We were the first to collect data from multiple surgeries in one geographical area, before they were centrally linked, and we published about ethnic and sexual inequality in service provision, as well as carrying out work to improve practices coding and computerisation of the medical record.
