JAGS Choral Society (JCS) is an adult choir which usually rehearses every term-time Tuesday evening from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at James Allen's Girls' School in East Dulwich.
JCS started as a group of parents to support school music, especially by adding tenors and basses, and now it exists as a separate choir of up to about 70 singers, including all voices (SATB), made up of parents, ex-parents, friends and people who live in the area - in short, anyone who enjoys singing!
It is a very friendly group and welcomes all singers as a Community Choir.
Although there are no auditions, we do expect people to be able to sing in tune. Reading music is a big help but not absolutely necessary at first, since it is a skill that can be developed.
Taster visits are free so, if you're not sure whether you'd like it, you come along and see how it feels!
If you decide to join as a choir member, normal fees are £50 per term or £120 for the three-term year. Concessions apply. Loan scores and refreshments are provided. More information from .
We are most grateful to James Allen's Girls' School whose very generous support enables the choir to continue and flourish.
